Adele Marie Whiting 86, died peacefully Saturday December 5, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Adele was born April 17, 1929 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to Bohuslav and Getrude (Wilz) Ludvik.

Adele married Jim Whiting on May 06, 1947 in Center City, Minnesota and they moved to Weyerhauser, Wisconsin where they started their family and lived until 1961. They then moved to and lived in Westerville, Ohio for a couple of years, until they moved in 1963 to Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, where Adele was a long time member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She was involved in many activities in the church, as well as, volunteering at the Cook-Rutledge Mansion and a longtime member of the Garden Club in Chippewa Falls. As a young mother, she was involved in many of her children's school activities including Cub Scouts and booster clubs.

Adele is survived by her daughter Joyce (Robert) Rubenzer of Bloomington, MN; four sons, Thomas Whiting of Eau Claire, William (Gwen) Whiting of Maple Grove, MN, David Whiting of Stillwater, MN, John (Wendy) Whiting of Chicago IL; six grandchildren, Paul Rubenzer, Craig Rubenzer, David Rubenzer, Kristen Whiting, Shelby Whiting and Jocelyn Whiting; three great grandchildren, Miles Rubenzer, Ella Rubenzer and Zoe Rubenzer; eight siblings, Bernard Ludvik, Norman Ludvik, Rita Collier, Cecelia Pooler, Mary Christman, Laurence Ludvik, Elroy Ludvik, and Jerome Ludvik.

Adele was preceded in death by her husband Jim; one son, Robert in infancy; her parents;one sister Catherine Turner.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 10 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls with the Fr. Ed Shuttleworth, officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Weyerhauser.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Thursday the church.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the people at Wissota Place and Sacred Heart Hospital that gave Adele such compassionate care.

Adele was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and may go to Irvine Park.
