Adeline E. Mense, 77, of Chippewa Falls, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

She was born May 7, 1935 in Eau Claire to Elvina (Brovold) and Edward Roder. She was raised in Chippewa Falls and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1953.

Adeline married Jerry D. Mense on January 23, 1954 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. They have resided in Chippewa Falls since their marriage.

She was employed at Amoco Foam Products in Chippewa Falls for 29 years until her retirement. In her retirement, Adeline worked as the "Pizza Lady" giving demonstrations and samples at Gordy's in downtown Chippewa Falls.

Adeline loved preparing Norwegian pastries; lefse, krumkake , prizelles and rosettes.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry; three daughters, Evelyn (Jim) Grossklaus of Eau Claire, Linda (Van Dremmel) Bowe of Chippewa Falls, Janice (Randy) Snider of Hayward; three sons, Dean (JoAnn) Mense of Durand, Dale (Su) Mense, of Altoona, Lorry (Renee Kittelson) Mense of Eau Claire; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lillian Webber, Lucille Link and son-in-law, Martin Bowe.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 6 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls with Rev. Rolf Nestingen of Grace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire, officiating.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, November 5 and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at funeral chapel.
