Alice L. Frederick, 83, of Chippewa Falls, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Chippewa Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation, Chippewa Falls under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.
She was born November 23, 1931 in Richland County to Sally (Liberko) and Finley Kidd. She was raised in Fall Creek until her family moved to Lafayette in 1945. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1949.
Alice married John Frederick on March 4, 1950 in Chippewa Falls. After their marriage, they resided in the town of Lafayette, where Alice made their home and raised their children. Alice also enjoyed painting and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherry (Theodore) Amelse; two sons, John "Conrad" Frederick, Steve (Charlet) Frederick, all of Chippewa Falls; a sister, Grace (Hail) Kirrish of University Park, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Delores Woodford, Joan Frederick; brother-in-law, James (Aleda) Frederick, all of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Justin Frederick, Tyler (Kelly) Frederick, Zach Frederick, Anna (Michael) Murphy, Sonny Amelse, Tiffany, Monica and Orion Frederick; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John in 1994; a brother, Theodore Kidd in infancy; granddaughter, Morgan Frederick;brothers-in-law, Frank Woodford and Dick Frederick.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 5 at the Chapel of the Resurrection at the Chippewa Manor with Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating. Spring interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
Visitation will held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Chippewa Manor Chapel of the Resurrection.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and appreciated.
AFTERSERVICE
A funeral service for Alice L. Frederick was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 5 at the Chippewa Manor Chapel of the Resurrection. The Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiated and music was provided by harpist, Judy Brist. Casket bearers were sons, Steven and John "Conrad" Frederick, grandsons, Justin Frederick and Sonny Amelse. Interment will take place in the spring at Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
