Alissa M. Swan, 24, of Cornell, formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN, due to a stroke just days after giving birth to her beautiful son, Michael. She continues to live on through others with her gift of organ donation. Many people have been given life this Christmas season because of this wonderful bequest.

She was born February 4, 1988 in Chippewa Falls to Melissa (Krenzelok) and Steven Swan. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 2006.

Alissa had a big heart and family always came first. Her happiness was contagious and she lived life to the fullest. She touched so many people and she will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her mother, Melissa (Bob Cornell) Krenzelok; father, Steve (Karen) Swan; fiancee, Nathan Fasbender; daughters, Aubrie Christenson and Violet Fasbender; sons, Michael and Nate Fasbender; sisters, Jenny (Dale) Swan, Stevie (Justin) Vaughn, Aleda Nelson, Trish Moss; brothers, Tony (Blair) Nelson, Eric Moss; nieces, Jaiden and Kimi; step-grandparents, Ray and Charlotte Canfield; and many aunts and uncles. Alissa was also the birth mother of Thomas Scheidler, who was adopted by Alissa's cousin, Stephanie (Pete) Scheidler.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe and Margaret Krenzelok; paternal grandparents, Roland and Bessie Swan; uncle, Billie Krenzelok; a cousin, Cory Krista; and brother-in-law, Zach Vaughn.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.

AFTERSERVICE:

A funeral service for Alissa M. Swan, 24, of Cornell, was held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, December 12 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Pastor Mike Tiry and Elder Wayne Bollom, Berean Bible Church, Chippewa Falls officiated, Wayne Bollom gave the eulogy and Julie Johnholtz read a poem.

Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Casket bearers were Thomas Thompson, Mike Krista, Luke Bowe, Tony Nelson, Nick and Ricky Krenzelok and honorary casket bearer was Bob Cornell.
