Alverna Hilp

Alverna M. Hilp, 91, of 809 Buttenhoff Rd., Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Chippewa Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation in Chippewa Falls.

She was born September 15, 1918 in the town of Tilden the daughter of Anna (Altman) and John Nazer Sr. She was raised in Chippewa Falls where she attended school.

Alverna married Peter E. Hilp on October 17, 1936 at the Zion Lutheran Church parsonage. They lived and farmed in the town of Lafayette until 1958. After building a new home they resided in Lafayette until 1964, when they moved to Beaverton, Oregon. They returned to Chippewa Falls in 1981, where she has since resided.
