Amy T. Horak, 97, of Chippewa Falls, went to be with her Lord on September 27, 2013.
She was born March 24, 1916 in Hayward the daughter of Nanny (Ostberg) and Nels J. Nessman.
Amy married Fred J. Horak on September 15, 1935 in Park Falls.
She was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 112 and PEO Chapter BF and a devoted member of First Presbyterian Church in Chippewa Falls for many years and in many capacities.
Survivors are daughter, Barbara (Rolland) Wilson of Minneapolis; son, John F. (Claudia) Horak of Dana Point, CA; four grandchildren, Michael Wilson of Minneapolis, Amy (Chad) Beckrich of Farmington, MN, Allison (Tim) Clemons of Bellevue, WA, Ian Horak of Henderson, Nevada; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred of 67 years; two brothers, Harry and Erland Nessman.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 12 at First Presbyterian Church in Chippewa Falls. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church, the Masonic Center, Salvation Army or charity of your choice.
AFTERSERVICE
A memorial service was held for Amy T. Horak, 97, of Chippewa Falls on Saturday, October 12 at First Presbyterian Church, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Katherine Griffis and Rev. Dr. Barry Boyer officiated and music was provided by organist, Barbara Sandford and vocalist, Jackie Nordwig. Personal reflections were shared by several family member and friends. Interment followed at Prairie View Cemetery, village of Lake Hallie.
