Anabelle R. Lea, 83 of Chippewa Falls, town of Eagle Point, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 1, 2013.

She was born October 27, 1929 in Frost, MN to Della (Nesheim) and Alfred Underdahl. She graduated from Frost High School in 1947 and attended Mankato State College, Gustavus Adolphus and Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Anabelle taught school for many years. She started in a country school and then taught at West Union and Lime Springs in Iowa, Blue Earth and Anoka in MN, Southern Florida and then in Chippewa Falls.

Anabelle married Ronald H. Lea on September 2, 1967 in Frost, MN.

She is survived by one sister, Beverly (Bill) Norman of Fairmont, MN; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Underdahl of Ironton, MN, Helen Underdahl of Fairmont, MN; Rons family, Dick and Jan Lea, Bill and Karen Lea all of Chippewa Falls, Tom and Louise Lea of Jim Falls, Linda and Jim Wrzosek of Weyerhauser and Scottsdale, Arizona, Sally and Dick Hartman, Karen and Denny Elstran, Mary and Don Schaefer all of Chippewa Falls, Arne Nord of Princeton, MN; numerous nieces, nephews and their families; special cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ron on May 12, 2008; one sister, Donna (Joe) Eikenberry of Florida; two brothers, Paul Underdahl, Alfred (Sonny) Underdahl all of MN; one sister-in-law, Lois Nord of Princeton, MN; a nephew, Bill Nord of Minneapolis and a niece, Christie Schaefer of Eau Claire.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 17 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Veterans Assistance Program, 2820 E. Park Ave., Bldg. 128, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729 or to the organization of your choice, would be appreciated.

AFTERSERVICE

A memorial service for Anabelle R. Lea, 83 of the town of Eagle Point, was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 17 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls. Bob Mueller officiated and music provided by Peter Lea and Hannah Riley. Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
