Ann M. Roen, 85, of the Town of Anson, Chippewa Falls died Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

On November 11, 1929, Ann was born to Earl and Cordelia (Greene) Green in Chippewa Falls. She was a graduate of Chippewa Falls High School, later marrying James A. Roen on November 18, 1947, at Central Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls.

Ann continued to be loyal to her faith and English Lutheran Church, volunteering much of her time with numerous organizations. She enjoyed quilting and playing cards, but most of all Ann cherished her time with family and friends watching the Green Bay Packers. Ann had once owned several small cottages in Shawano, WI, and wrote a book about her adventures entitled "Mooseyard Memories." She was very proud of both of these accomplishments.

Ann is survived by her sons, Dennis Roen, Randall (Rhonda) Roen, Steven Roen, and Gregory (Becky) Roen; daughter, Gayla Roen; grandchildren, Jennifer Luther, Jeremiah Roen, Zachary (Kathy) Roen, Heather (Kevin) Kopp, Ryan (Bobbie Jo) Roen, Kyle (Maile) Roen, Alex Roen, Travis (Amanda) Chouinard, Gabrial Chouinard, Nathan Chouinard, Jesse Chouinard, Elisa (Matt) Steinmetz, Tessa Roen, David (Rachael) Roen and Tristan (Hannah) Roen; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Judith (Joe) Schultz; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; daughter, Sharon Chouinard; and sister, Verna Yule.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015, at English Lutheran Church of Bateman, 20588 County Hwy X, Chippewa Falls, with a visitation one hour prior the service at the church. Rev. Deborah Nissen will be officiating. The Green Bay Packers were very important to Ann, please join the family with wearing your favorite Packers attire to the service.
