A private family service will be held

Arnold L. Dekan, 87, of Chippewa Falls, died Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Our House Assisted Living in Chippewa Falls.

Arnold was born August 27, 1929, in Eau Claire to Charles and Rose (Zwiefelhofer) Dekan. He worked on the family farm in Cadott for many years. He also briefly worked for John Lacina Lumber Company in Cadott. From 1966 to 1975 he worked for National Presto Industries before returning to farming. In addition to farming he began working at Cadott High School in 1986 providing custodial, general maintenance and landscaping services. In 2006 he moved to Chippewa Falls and worked at Copps Food Center for 6 years. Arnold enjoyed taking care of his farm and animals, and tending to his garden and flowers.

He is survived by his sister, Ellen Anderson of Fall Creek; brothers, Leonard Dekan of Chippewa Falls and Karl Dekan of Eau Claire; sister-in-law, Frances Dekan of Altoona; and many nieces and nephews.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold (Mildred) and Willmar Dekan; sister-in-law, Bernice Dekan; and brother-in-law, Robert Anderson.

A private family service will be held. Interment will be at St. Bridget's Catholic Cemetery in the town of Seymour, Eau Claire County.
