Arthur George Mielke, 75, of Chippewa Falls, town of Eagle Point, formerly of Rockford, MN died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

He was born January 22, 1938 in Watertown, MN to Cora (Becker) and Herman Mielke.

Art married Judith Loeffler on July 15, 1961 in Greenfield, MN. He was employed by D. W. Onan and then he owned and operated Breezy Hill Resort on Lake Sarah. In 1974, they moved to Chippewa Falls and farmed for 30 years. He then worked for AK Auto in Corcoran, MN until his retirement.

He was a member at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Eagleton. His favorite pastimes were fishing and hunting. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Judith; a daughter, Joyce Mielke; a son, Steve Mielke, all of Chippewa Falls; three granddaughters, Megan, Tessa and Teia; sisters, Ruth (John) Dixon of Plymouth, MN, Joanne (Patrick) Rogers of Buffalo, MN, Irene Thompson of Altoona, WI; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara (George) Johnson of Plymouth, MN, Phyllis (Arnold) Kral of Delano, MN, Leon (Barb) Loeffler of Underwood, MN; numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his father and mother-in-law, August and Winifred Loeffler.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 18 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Eagleton with Pastor Philip Pitt officiating. Interment will be in Eagleton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m., Sunday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

AFTERSERVICE

A funeral service for Arthur G. Mielke, 75, of Chippewa Falls was held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 18 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Eagleton. Pastor Philip Pitt officiated and music was provided by Pat Buchli. Interment followed in Eagleton Cemetery, town of Eagle Point. Casket bearers were Jeffrey and Ronald Dixon, Josh Fasbender, Ryan Kral, Allan Rogers, David and Scott Thompson and Stanley Wandersee
