Jerry's mother died when he was a teenager and Jerry was adopted by the Edna and Jay Campbell family.

He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict from 1949 - 1953, when he was honorably discharged.

He married Jeanette "Jan" Raski on August 1, 1959. The couple resided in Minneapolis where Jerry worked as a foreman for Dayton's Furniture Warehouse. He retired in 1992 and they moved to Eau Claire in 1993.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jan of Eau Claire; two daughters, Teresa Frank (Brad Murphey) of Minneapolis, MN, Lynnda Klocek (Rodney Wang) of Eau Claire; brother, Jay (Sandy) Campbell of Richfield, MN; two sisters, Deanna Schwegel of Forest Lake, MN, Geraldine Chandler of Minneapolis; five grandchildren, Dieter, Reinhardt and Hana Frank, Christopher and Bryan Klocek; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Atwood.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, September 19 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. William Plautz of Faith Lutheran Church, officiating. Military honors provided by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council will follow the service at the funeral chapel.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Jerry's family and extended family were very important to him. They will miss him dearly.
