Audrey O. Kallbreier

Audrey O. Kallbreier, 84, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice, at the LakeHouse in Chippewa Falls.

On December 30, 1938, Audrey was born to Norma (Link) & Hjalmer Lien in Menomonie, WI. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School. Soon after high school, Audrey moved to Milwaukee and met Donald while waitressing. They were later married and traveled the world during his time with the US Navy. After Donald’s Honorable Discharge, they moved back to the Chippewa Falls area where she worked at JC Penny for many years. Audrey was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing and trips to the casino, and gardening.

Audrey is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Coley) Murphy of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Jordan Kallbreier, Logan Murphy and Sydney (Jake Rada) Murphy; great-grandchildren, Brixton, Hayden & Crew; along with her nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert in 1997; and husband, Donald in 1998; siblings, Delores Kohnke, Charles, Ronald & Dean Lien.

The memorial service will be at 11 am, on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Zion Lutheran Church, 110 E. Grand Ave., Chippewa Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Rev. Brad Thomas will be officiating. The interment will be at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
