Audrey A. Schemenauer, 76, of Cadott, town of Arthur, died Monday, May 29, 2017, at HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.

She was born October 8, 1940, in the town of Edson, Chippewa County, to Clara (Melville) and William Walters. She attended Stanley-Boyd schools.

Audrey worked as a nurse's aide at the Victory Memorial Hospital, and then worked at the Northern Center for the Developmentally Disabled, retiring in 1998 after 32 years.

In 1984, she married William "Bill" Schemenauer. They resided in Stanley and Cadott for many years, and they enjoyed going to the casino and travelling extensively throughout the U.S. as well as England, Scotland, and France. Audrey loved growing roses and cherished time spent with her family.

Survivors include her husband, William of Cadott; sons, William "Butch" (Brenda) Robinson of Cadott, Stephen (Jennifer) of Woodbury, MN; two sisters, Janice (Rollie) Seidl, Karen Lewallen, all of Stanley; grandchildren, Billie Jo, Dana, Shannon, Savannah, Austin, Sadie and Dominique; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Kaelynn, Jasmine and Kashton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Beverly Kierein, Pauline Barquist, Colleen "Lillian" Ebben, and Sandra Campbell; brothers, Donald, in infancy, William "Carvel", John "Fuzzy", James "Patrick", and Tom Walters; a granddaughter, Paige; and her daughter, Tamara Sarafin.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral chapel.
