Barbara J. Kaiser, 79, of Chippewa Falls, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center surrounded by her family.
She was born September 24, 1933 in Eau Claire to Ella (Moldenhauer) and Ralph Peterson. She was baptized and confirmed at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She attended Eau Claire High Schools and graduated from Memorial High School in 1952.
Barb met the love of her life Richard Kaiser and they were married on October 11, 1952 at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Eau Claire. She was a stay at home mom, where she raised their three children and six state infants.
She loved to knit, camp, fish, garden and collect penguins. She was a huge sports fan, especially the Packers and Badgers, her "Cubbies" and Duke. She loved animals, especially dogs.
Survivors include a daughter, Pam (Don) Underwood; a son, Dennis (Kim) Kaiser, all of Chippewa Falls; two grandchildren, Kelly (Joe) Mattison of Baldwin and Jordan Kaiser of LaCrosse; two sisters-in-law, Caryl Peterson of California, Joann Kaiser of Hammond, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard in 1994; a son, Tim in 2001; brother-in-law, Eugene Kaiser; niece, Tammy Kincaid, her father and mother-in-law, Harold and Ruth Kaiser and special friend, Jerry Malleuge.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 24 at Faith Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. William Plautz officiating. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m., Friday, November 23 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
Barb's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Burns and the Oncology staff at Mayo Clinic Health System for their wonderful care. Also thank you to the staff at Wissota Health Transitions for the compassion and kindness shown to Barb during her
stay there.
AFTERSERVICE:
A funeral service for Barbara J. Kaiser, 79, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 24 at Faith Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. William Plautzofficiated and music was provided by soloist, Doug Parker and accompanist, Barbara Sandford.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls and casket bearers were Jordan Kaiser, Joe Mattison, Chris Underwood, Dave Ball, Dean Sherry and Randy Summerfield.
