Barron Battles

Barron Christian Battles, 8 week old infant, went to heaven on November 6, 2010. He was born on September 10th, 2010 at St. Joseph's hospital in Chippewa Falls. He passed away at the Minneapolis Children's Hospital from respiratory failure associated with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).


Barron is survived by: his parents Justin S. Battles and E. Magdalena (Licht) Battles of Chippewa Falls, WI and Fort Myers, FL; paternal grandparents Timothy and Carol Battles of Marietta, GA; maternal grandparents David and Jenny Licht of Chippewa Falls, WI; paternal great grandfather Joseph Baudino of Wautoma, WI; maternal great grandmother Hazel Licht of Boyd, WI; aunts and uncles Kelley (Amber) Battles of Austin, TX, Michelle (Therian) Webb of Roswell, GA, Jessica (Steven) Bellman of Sioux Falls, SD, Rachel (Matthew) Pierce of Des Moines, IA, Natalie Licht of Des Moines, IA, Justin Licht and Mitchell Licht, both of Chippewa Falls; numerous other relatives and friends and special friends, Lynn Schulz and Noah and Elijah Mutter-Schulz of Chippewa Falls.

Barron was preceded in death by: his paternal great grandparents, Robert and Olive Battles, Rose Baudino; maternal great grandparents Donald Morley, Elsie Keller and Harold Licht.

There will a visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm. with funeral services 12:00 pm. on Thursday, November 11 at Crossroads Church in Chippewa Falls with Pastor Wade Duroe presiding. Burial will take place following the funeral at the Edson Union Cemetery.

Barron will be remembered according to his dedication passage Psalm 139:13-16. Barron's short life brought many people together through loving support and prayers. His time was so short and each moment so precious, his parents are eternally grateful for the time they had with him.

Afterservice

A funeral service for Barron Christian Battles, infant son of Justin and Magdalena Battles was held at 12 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at Crossroads Church in Chippewa Falls. Pastor Wade Duroe officiated and music was provided by organist, Beth Stokka, vocalist, Carol Steward and violinist, Heather Wojtczak. The eulogy was given by Barron's father, Justin.

Interment was in Edson Union Cemetery, town of Edson, Chippewa County. Bobby Hamill of Hamill piping played bagpipes at the graveside. Casket bearers were: uncles, Kelley Battles and Mitchell Licht.
