Barton Metzenbauer

Barton E. "Bart" Metzenbauer, 81, of 17896 50th Ave., Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Monday, February 8, 2010 at Transitions at Wissota Health in Chippewa Falls.

He was born April 30, 1928 in the town of Lafayette to Elizabeth (Sommerfield) and Floyd Metzenbauer Sr. He was raised in the town of Lafayette and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1946. Bart entered the U.S. Navy on June 4, 1946 and served on a minesweeper in the South Pacific, until being honorably discharged in 1948. He was employed for ATT Telephone Company/Wisconsin Bell as a repairman for 34 years, until his retirement December 1, 1985.
