Bernadine M. Birch, 93, of Chippewa Falls died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at her home while under the care of her family and Mayo Clinic Health System Home Hospice.

She was born May 1, 1920 in Cadott to Ella (Frick) and Frank Gannon. She was raised in the town of Sigel and graduated from Cadott High School in 1938.

On May 1, 1940, she married Clarence L. Birch Jr. and they resided in the town of Wheaton where they farmed.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane (Larry) Seidlitz; sons, Clyde (Patty) Birch, Dale (Maria Konop) Birch, all of Chippewa Falls; seven grandchildren, Bradley Birch, Bob Pippenger, Linda Pippenger, Lisa (Dean) Hartje, Larry (Mariann) Seidlitz, Joel (Tabitha) Seidlitz, Michelle (Robert) Ritter; 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence on October 18, 1995; a brother, Francis Gannon; a daughter, Karen Pippenger; and a son, Jerry Birch.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 21 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Bernadines niece, Judy Gilles officiating. Interment will follow at Bateman Cemetery, town of Lafayette.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.

AFTERSERVICE

A funeral service for Bernadine M. Birch, 93, of Chippewa Falls, town of Wheaton, was held Saturday, December 21 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel. Bernadines niece, Judy Gilles officiated the service. Interment was at Bateman Cemetery, town of Lafayette and casket bearers were sons, Clyde and Dale Birch; grandchildren, Joel, Brady and Larry Seidlitz Jr., Bradley Birch, Robert Ritter; and great-grandson, Austin Birch.
