Betty L . Weis, 84, of Jim Falls, WI - formerly Des Plaines, IL, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Heath System Eau Claire.

She was born February, 16, 1928 in Jim Falls to Della (Claudy) and Raymond Witkus.

Betty married Mark Weis on September 19, 1953 in Evanston, IL. They resided in Des Plaines for over 40 years where they raised their children and made their home.

Survivors include two daughters, Cate (Steve) Gensch of Woodstock, IL, Melinda (Dan) Busse of Prospect Heights, IL; a sister, Bernice Schwetz of Jim Falls; two brothers Lawrence Witkus of Chippewa Falls, Albert Witkus of Jim Falls; seven grandchildren: Drew, Devyn, Danny, Rob, Michelle, Ryan and Kelly; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 54 years, Mark, in 2007; two sisters, Eva Stark and Mavis Nettles; and three brothers, Elmer, Jimmy, and Ray "Junior" Witkus.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. , Saturday, April 21 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Father Mark Pierce officiating. Interment will be Monday at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.

Betty will always be remembered for her beautiful rose gardens and for her kind and affectionate heart. Her family loved her dearly and will miss her greatly. Betty's daughters wish to express their adoring appreciation to their Aunt Bernice who devotedly cared for her loving sister.

AFTERSERVICE

A funeral service for Betty L. Weis, 84, of Jim Falls was held at 6 p.m., Saturday, April 21 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Fr. Mark Pierce of the Church of Notre Dame officiated and personal reflections were given by her grandchildren, Kelly, Drew and Rob.

Interment was at the All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, Ill.
