Bob J. Kuhn, 89, of Chippewa Falls, died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Wissota Health and Regional Vent Center.

Bob was born November 21, 1925 in Stanley, Wisconsin, son of Clara (Harmon) and Perry Kuhn. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Stanley High School in 1943. On November 27, 1946, he married Joyce Frederick at Central Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls.

Together Bob and Joyce worked at the Chippewa County Farm. Later, Bob became manager of a dairy farm in southern Wisconsin. In the early 1960's Bob and Joyce purchased Augusta Flour & Feed in Augusta, WI, eventually selling the business to a family member.

They moved to New Lisbon, where Bob was a nursing home administrator for nine years. When an opportunity to purchase Bloomer Farm Products came about in 1974, Bob moved his family back to the Chippewa Falls area, where he owned and operated the business until he was forced to retire due to ill health.

Bob was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, pheasant hunting, and flying airplanes. He also enjoyed cookouts with his family and was always in charge of grilling the food.

He will be dearly missed by his sons, Mark (Denise) of Madison and Brent (Maureen) of Bloomer; one daughter, Kay (Randy) Sands of Eleva; nine grandchildren: Adam, Benjamin, Kara Lynn, Caitlin, Michael, and Jacob Kuhn, Ryan (Anne) Sands, Kelly (Jordan) Brick, and Rachel Sands; two great-grandchildren, Mya and Ari; a sister-in-law, Donna Papenfuss of Augusta; his best friend and fishing buddy, Leon Andrist of Rochester, MN; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce on April 12, 2008; and four siblings, Mary Caswell, Joyce Ross, Bernard and Howard Kuhn.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 17 at the English Lutheran Church of Bateman with Rev. Deborah Nissen officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Sunday, August 16 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and may go to the English Lutheran Church of Bateman.

AFTERSERVICE:

A funeral service for Bob J. Kuhn, 89, of Chippewa Falls was held on Monday, August 17 at the English Lutheran Church of Bateman. The Rev. Deborah Nissen officiated and music was provided by organist, Nancy Nerdrum and soloist, Peter Lea. Scripture was read by Adam Kuhn and Linda Stockinger.

Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls, and casket bearers were Bob's grandchildren, Adam, Benjamin, Kara Lynn, Caitlin, Michael and Jacob Kuhn, Ryan and Rachel Sands, and Kelly Brick.
