Bonnie M. Senn, 66, of Chippewa Falls, Village of Lake Hallie, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas.

She was born October 16, 1945 in Valley City, North Dakota to Lois (Risa) and Andrew Hunchar. Her family resided in Valley City until relocating to Osseo, Wisconsin when Bonnie was a young teenager. She graduated from Osseo High School in 1963.

During high school, Bonnie met the young man that she would spend the rest of her life with, Gregory A. Senn. The couple started their married life together on June 13, 1964 at the Osseo Lutheran Church. They moved to Chippewa Falls, where they had resided since.

Bonnie was a generous woman, devoting her time to volunteer work at her church, Faith Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, and in her community. She often worked in the gift shop at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls and later volunteered in the Emergency Room there. She was an active member and past president of the Chippewa Falls Jaycees. She would also help in the family business, Senn Blacktop. As an example, every year Bonnie made chili and other dishes for all of the employees at company events.

She and Greg loved to spend winters on South Padre Island in Texas. Over the years, they had developed a close network of friends there. Bonnie's favorite pastime was painting. She was very talented and made beautiful artwork for her friends and family members.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Gregory of Hallie; two sons, Brian (Melissa) Senn of Eau Claire, Darrin (Kim) Senn of Chippewa Falls; her mother, Lois Hunchar of Eau Claire; a sister, Sue (Larry) Gunderson of Eau Claire; two brothers, Dennis (Nora) Hunchar of Minneapolis, MN, Jim Hunchar of Hudson; a brother-in-law, Steve (Kaye) Senn of Eau Claire; five grandchildren, Ashley Senn, Andrew (Lauren) Senn, Ian Senn, all of Eau Claire; Ellie and Aidan Senn of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Hunchar; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marian and Alger "Putt" Senn.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 10 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Paul Oppedahl, officiating. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery, Village of Lake Hallie.
