Carey Belle Kell, 94, of Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Wissota Health & Regional Vent Center in Chippewa Falls.

She was born February 25, 1918 in South Bend, Indiana to Edna Pearl (Evans) and Charles Kuntz. She graduated from South Bend High School.

On December 16, 1939, Carey married Paul E. Kell in South Bend. The couple resided in Eau Claire from 1941 to 1954 before moving to Milwaukee. Carey and Paul founded Kell Container in 1964 in Butler, WI and moved operations to Chippewa Falls in 1968. She retired as president of Kell Container Corporation. Paul preceded her in death on May 18, 1977.

On August 24, 1984, she married Philip H. Rogers on Madeline Island. He also preceded her in death on May 31, 1999.

Survivors include three sons, Michael (Patricia) Kell of Bonita Springs, FL, Charles (Patricia) Kell of Menomonie, Thomas (Pamela) Kell of Chippewa Falls; a daughter-in-law, Betsy Kell of Eau Claire; a sister, Jane Erler of South Bend; eight grandchildren, David (Amy) Kell, Lisa (Brady) Pierce all of Hudson, Paul (Rebecca) Kell of Durham, NH, Carey (Kris) Kell-Johnson of Chippewa Falls; Melissa (Brett Hansen) Kell ofMinneapolis, MN, Jeremy (Erin) Kell of Wauwatosa; Sadie (Scott) Kell-Gunderson of Eau Claire, Angela Kell of New York City; 15 great-grandchildren; special friend to Carey and the family, Chuck Klukas; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Paul Kell; her second husband; Philip Rogers and a son, John Kell.

A private service will be held with interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

A public visitation will be held from 2 - 3 p.m., Monday, February 18 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls.

Memorials in Carey's honor may be directed to the Carey Kell Endowment c/o the Community Foundation of Chippewa Falls.
