Carol Y. Mueller

Carol Y. Mueller, 86, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Aggie’s Country Living in Bloomer, while under the care of Interim Hospice.

She was born September 19, 1938, in Chippewa Falls to Donald and Ruby (Schick) Sweeney.

In 1956, she graduated from Chippewa Falls High School, and married Keith Mueller on October 10, 1959. They resided in Chippewa Falls and owned and operated Bill’s Surplus for 32 years. Carol was a longtime member of Zion United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls.

Carol is survived by her children, Bryan (Patsy Johnson) of New Richmond and Brent (Jamie) of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Derek (Jocelyn), Kyle, and Austin (Bailee Hallen); sister, Joyce Zwiefelhofer; brother, Irvin Sweeney; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, Dick; husband, Keith in 2010; daughter, Jodyne (David) Reiten; grandson, Brett; brother-in-law, Darrell Zwiefelhofer; nephew, Troy Zwiefelhofer; father and mother-in-law, Willard and Sylvia; sisters-in-law, Marion (Roland) Boehm and Carol (David) Duffin.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 7 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Pastor Pauline Bangle officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. 

Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
