She was born in Eau Claire, WI, on February 1, 1925, to Luther and Louise (Winge) Johnson. Carol married Harold Boettcher who preceded her in death. She later married Walter Rusch in 1978.
Carol had an adventurous spirit and was a fun loving person who cared very much for all types of animals, spending numerous days feeding the wildlife. She especially loved her four-legged companion, Tika. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harold; her second husband, Walter; and two step great-granddaughters.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at the Chapel of the Resurrection at the Chippewa Manor, 222 Chapman Road, Chippewa Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Robert B. Hoekstra will be officiating.
