Carol Y. Weiss, 78, of 507 Maitland Dr., Chippewa Falls, died Monday, April 1, 2013 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

She was born December 5, 1934 in Yakima, WA the daughter of Phoebe (Golding) and Willard Arquette. She was raised in the State of Washington. She married Richard Balz in Nevada. Her husband served in the Navy, so they resided in Washington, California, Virginia and Missouri. They were later divorced. She moved to Chippewa Falls in 1978, where she met and married Raymond J. "Tiny" Weiss on June 27, 1987 in Chippewa Falls. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1995.

Carol was employed at Cray Research in Chippewa Falls until retiring in 1990.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Patrick) Bucheger, Linda (Craig) Kelling all of Chippewa Falls; five sons, Richard "Rick" (Sue) Balz of Cadott, Donald Balz of Missouri, Criss (Lisa) Balz of Texas, Brett (Cheryl) Balz of CA, Jim Balz of KY; two step-daughters, Mary Weiss, Darla Weiss; two step-sons, Kevin Weiss, Dean Weiss; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte, Linda; three brothers, Charlton, Lowell and Larry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; five sisters, Rena, Jean, Sherry, Deanna and LilaLee.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m, Friday, April 5 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Pastor Jim Woldhuis of Chippewa Valley Bible Church officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral chapel.

AFTERSERVICE:

A funeral service for Carol Y. Weiss, 78, of Chippewa Falls was held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2013 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Pastor Jim Woldhuis of Chippewa Valley Bible Church officiated and Donna Bucheger and Linda Kelling shared memories of their mother. Interment followed at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Casket Bearers were Richard, Donald, Criss and Brett Balz, Jerimie Kelling and Patrick Bucheger.
