Catherine F. Calkins, 85, of Eau Claire, formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at Clairemont Nursing & Rehabilitation in Eau Claire.

She was born February 16, 1928 in Chippewa Falls to Elizabeth (Shea) and Samuel Calkins. She attended Notre Dame Grade School and graduated from McDonell High School.

Catherine was a resident of Wissota Lakeside for many years and in 2005, became a resident of the Clairemont Nursing Home.

Survivors include three brothers, Sam (Maria) Calkins, Jack Calkins and Richard Calkins, all of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Faye Calkins, Rose Mary Calkins and Marjorie Perrenoud; and five brothers, Mark, Bruce, Andrew Bud, Dan and Frank Calkins.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 2 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel with Fr. Ed Shuttleworth officiating. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral chapel.

Memorials in Catherines honor may be designated to Irvine Park.

AFTERSERVICE:

A funeral service for Catherine F. Calkins, 85, of Eau Claire was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 2 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Very Rev. Ed Shuttleworth pastor of St. Charles Borromeo officiated. Interment followed at Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Casket bearers were Sam, Jack, Richard and Roger Calkins, Rick Hein and Glen Baldeshwiler.
