Charles A. Olsen, 80, of the Town of Eagle Point, Chippewa County, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.

Charles was born on September 15, 1934 in Cadott, Wisconsin to Alfred and Phyllis Olsen. When he was one year old the family moved to Eagle Point/Jim Falls area.

On July 2, 1963 he married Julie Polus at Blaine Lutheran Church, MN. They raised their children on the family farm in the Jim Falls area. Charles farmed all his life and was a proud can-milk hauler.

Charles enjoyed racing around the farm on his workhorse cart, playing video games with his grandchildren and putting puzzles together.

Charles is survived by his wife of 52 years, Julie; children, Brenda, Phyllis (David), Ron (Amy), Jackie (Matt), Fred, George (Laura), Chucky and Kathy (Troy); 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Irene Krank.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia St., Chippewa Falls with Rev. Luke Geraty officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
