Charles Sippy

Charles Alexander "Chuck" Sippy, 90, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Comforts of Home in Chippewa Falls.

He was born August 5, 1920 in Superior, the fourth child of Winnifred (Kehler) and Stephen Sippy. He moved to Chippewa Falls with his parents and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1939.

Chuck married Doris J. Flaherty on July 2, 1941 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. He entered the U.S. Army on September 27, 1944 and served during WWII in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre and the Phillipine Liberation. He was honorably discharged January 23, 1946. Chuck and Doris then resided in Milwaukee, until moving to Dallas, Texas where he owned and operated a carpet business. He was a salesman for most of his working life. Chuck and Doris golfed every day possible and also belonged to a square dance club. They traveled in their camper with their dogs to square dance conventions around the U.S. Doris preceded him in death on January 15, 1981.
