Charlotte M. Kern

Charlotte M. Kern, 93, of Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire.

Charlotte was born November 16, 1930, in Wausau, WI, a daughter of Edward and Elsie LaGesse.

She worked at the Northern Center for 30 years in the laundry department and later as an aide. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church until the Pandemic prevented her from attending. Charlotte was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed. 

Charlotte is survived by her son, David; daughter, Ann (Peter) Hauptmann, both of Chippewa Falls; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Jesse (Sharon) LaGesse of Bloomer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clyde, Gerald, Wallace, and James LaGesse; and sisters, Darlene Stolt, Kathryn LaGesse, and Janet Bowe.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 23 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Rev. Daniel Wonderly officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. 

Private interment will be at Bloomer City Cemetery at a later date.
