Marie E. Cigan-Yeager, 53, of Eau Claire, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

She was born March 19, 1957 in Chippewa Falls to Betty (Baumgartner) and Peter Cigan.

Marie married Bradley Yeager in April, 1982 at First Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls. They resided in Eau Claire where they made a home and raised their children. Brad preceded her in death on August 22, 1997.

Survivors include two daughters, Sara (Steven) McIlquham of Eau Claire, Samantha Yeager-Strasburg of Fall Creek; three sons, Alexander "A.J." Yeager-Strasburg of Whitehall, Zachary Yeager-Strasburg; stepson, Chad (Breanne) Yeager of Chippewa Falls; mother, Betty Cigan of Chippewa Falls; mother and father-in-law, Don and Yvonne Yeager of Chippewa Falls; two sisters, Martha (Rod) Raatz of Cornell, Mary (Bob) Denning of Chippewa Falls; four brothers, Mike (Linda) Cigan, Greg Cigan, William Cigan, Nick (Jackie) Cigan, all of Chippewa Falls; two granddaughters, Avery and Bridget McIlquham; four step-grandchildren, Isaiah, Emma Leigh, Tabitha and Olivia Yeager; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; a brother, George Cigan; and a nephew, Jason Denning.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral chapel.
