Clarence L. Fedie, 92, of Chippewa Falls, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 with his family by his side at the Comforts of Home in Chippewa Falls while under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.
He was born July 31, 1918 in Durand to Rose (Weiss) and Phillip Fedie. Clarence served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942 - 1945. He was always very proud of his service to his country.
He married Geraldine Clemons on July 14, 1944. She preceded him in death on February 20, 1971. He married Hattie Steinmetz on October 2, 1975. She preceded him in death on December 24, 1983. He then married Ethel Clemons on July 23, 1984. She preceded him in death on April 11, 1991.
Clarence worked at Mason Shoe Co. from July, 1946 until his retirement in July, 1980. He was the president of the Boot and Shoe Workers Union for three years.
He was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, where he served on the church council for two years.
While living on small Lake Wissota, Clarence was known as "Mr. Fix-It" in the neighborhood. He also enjoyed gardening and always had beautiful flowers growing in his garden.
Survivors include his daughter, Sharon (Donald) Prince of Cadott; grandson, Joshua Prince of Cadott; sister, Phyllis Gillett of Cameron; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; two brothers, Ward and Charles; son, Lynn; and brother-in-law, Lawrence Gillett.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mike Wollman, officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls with Military Honors conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral chapel.

A memorial service for Clarence L. Fedie, 92, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Mike Wollman officiated and music was provided by organist, Christine Hitt and vocalist, Pam Moran.
Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls with Military Honors conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council and Alec Bohan bugeled "Taps."
