Clarice G. Colbert, 94, of Chippewa Falls, died, Friday, November 30, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.
She was born June 11, 1918 in Glenwood City to Gertrude (Holstine) and Theodore Willenbockel. She was a graduate of Chippewa Falls High School.
Following high school, Clarice worked at NSP for a time then worked in various positions for Attorneys Alexander Wiley, Harold Stafford, Judge Reinhardt and Colberts, Inc.
She was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. Her favorite pastimes were doing cross stitch and reading.
Clarice married Bradford J. Colbert on June 8, 1984 at St. Charles Borromeo in Chippewa Falls.
Survivors include step-son, B. James (Kay) Colbert of Chippewa Falls; step-son-in-law, Tom Despins of DePere; step-grandchildren, Penny (Joel) Jurss of Pewaukee, Jamie (Cindy) Colbert of Plymouth, MN, Dee Dee (Peter) Korth of Cottage Grove, Thomas (Krista) Despins of Oronoco, MN and six step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bradford on February 20, 1996 and two step-daughters, Bette Despins on April 29, 2012 and Barbara J. Colbert on August 8, 2012.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 7 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Fr. Victor Inbaraj of Holy Ghost Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be from 10:30 until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Clarice's name may be directed to the Friends of St. Joseph's Hospital.
AFTERSERVICE:
A funeral service for Clarice G. Colbert, 94, of Chippewa Falls, was held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 7 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Fr. Victor Inbaraj of Holy Ghost Catholic Church officiated. Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Casket bearers were Jamie and Jim Colbert, Tom and T.J. Despins.
