Colleen M. Hero, 62, of Eau Claire, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at her home.
She was born May 8, 1953 in Chicago, IL to Betty (Cross) and Bernard E. Hall.
Colleen earned a degree in accounting from Colorado Mountain College. She worked as the senior accountant at Koch Industries in St. Louis Park, MN for many years until her retirement.
Colleen had a love for the Lord. She had a strong faith that was the foundation for her strength. She also had a love for butterflies, it was evident in her artwork at home, her clothing and her many butterfly knick-knacks. Colleen was a skilled seamstress, painter and gardener. She also enjoyed nature, particularly watching and feeding birds.
She is survived by her two daughters, Michelle (Paul) Lynch of Chippewa Falls, Kathleen "Kate" (Peter) Brauer of Lexington, South Carolina; a brother, Ricky Hall; 13 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Gail Godfrey; a brother, Michael Hall; her dog and companion, Fred; and her son, Jaime Llerena.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, October 14 at Jacob's Well, 3211 50th Ave., Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and preferred to Jacob's Well in Colleen's honor.
