Constance E. Bartz, 85, of Chippewa Falls, died Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Clairemont Nursing & Rehabilitation in Eau Claire.

She was born June 11, 1929 in Cornell to Constance (Swain) and Albert Whipple. She was raised in Cornell and graduated from Cornell High School in 1947.

Constance married Gene Bartz on February 14, 1951 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, Gene; two daughters, Sharon (Michael) Hannafin of Eau Claire, Pamela (David Luedtke) Bartz of Owatonna, Minnesota; three sons, Michael (Kay) Bartz of Jim Falls, Ronald (Jean) Bartz of Chippewa Falls, Bryan (Suzanne) Bartz of Lakeville, Minnesota; sisters, Lillian (Warren) Hedstrom of Carson City, Nevada, Lucille Williams of Florida, Katherine Yaeger of Sun Prairie, Iva Alice Pifer of Norfolk, Virginia; a brother, Romer (Mary Lou) Whipple of Janesville; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeffrey; a sister, Suzanne Peterson; a brother, Forrest Whipple and a great-grandson, Preston Thomas Bartz.

A private service will be held with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
