Daniel L. Campbell

Daniel L. Campbell, 64, of the village of Lake Hallie, Chippewa Falls, died Tuesday, July 16, 2024, surrounded by family at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire after a two-year battle with cancer.

Dan was born September 24, 1959, in Chippewa Falls to Calvin and Judith (Johnson) Campbell. He grew up in Chippewa Falls and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1978.

On December 31, 2002, he married Mary Peterson in a private ceremony in Cornell, WI.

For 43 years he worked as a machinist at Nordson Extrusion Dies, until his retirement in 2021. Dan was an avid WI sports fan, and enjoyed spending time with friends watching Brewer, Packer, and Badger games, having a cold one. If he wasn’t watching a game, he loved to relax to an old western tv show. Dan enjoyed pontooning and camping with family and friends. He also liked having a garden with tomatoes and cucumbers.

Dan is survived by his wife, Mary; sons, John Campbell (Ann Reed) of Eau Claire and Ryan (Lynn) Campbell of Cadott; stepson, Jason Doud (Casey Guyette) of Manawa, WI; brothers, Mike (Mary) Campbell of Chippewa Falls and Scott (Patti) Campbell of Eau Claire; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and nephew, Elliot Campbell.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 25 at Christ Lutheran Church, 467 E Colome St., Chippewa Falls with Rev. Gregory Stenzel officiating. Interment will be at Prairie View Cemetery in the village of Lake Hallie.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
