Private family service.

Daniel E. Wyland, 57, of La Crosse, died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at home under the care of Gundersen Hospice with his loving wife by his side.

He was born July 13, 1957 in Lombard, Illinois to Michealine (Schwanderlicht) and Edgar Wyland.

Dan married Susan Reed on July 11, 2005 in Chippewa Falls. They resided in La Crosse since their marriage.

He was employed at Express Printing in La Crosse as a printer/press operator for the past 11 years.

Survivors include his wife, Sue; his mother, Michealine; his step-mother, Sylvia; sisters, Donna (Dave) Knower, Laura (Mike) Haywood, Peggy Sue (Vince) Niemczyk, Pam (Mike) Keapproth; he is further survived by his mother and father-in-law, Dayton and Eileen Reed; sisters-in-law, Jean (Clyde) Bowe, Carol (Craig) Bowe; brother-in-law, Dan (Kathy) Reed; many nieces, nephews; great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar.

Dan loved to hunt and fish with his wife and her family. His favorite hobby was polishing rocks and making jewelry. He also enjoyed fireworks, setting up shows during the 4th of July and lighting them off for others to enjoy.

A private family memorial service will be held at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating.

AFTERSERVICE

A private family memorial service for Daniel E. Wyland was held at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 4 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel. Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiated at the service and also read personal reflections written by Dan's sister, Peggy Sue and his sister-in-law, Carol Bowe.
