David R. Scheidler, 67, of Fall Creek, went home to Jesus on Sunday, September 21, 2014.

He was born June 20, 1947 in Chippewa Falls to Alice (Butterfield) and Thomas Scheidler. He grew up in Jim Falls and graduated from Cadott High School in 1965. Dave then continued his education at CVTC.

On April 2, 1994 , he married the love of his life, Penny Geissler. The two had known each other since school and remained best friends.

Dave had his own landscaping business and was the project manager for the grounds of many military bases. He also worked as a truck driver and trained Penny to drive. They enjoyed driving truck together for many years and never ran out of things to talk about while on the road.

Davealways lived this life large and he loved to cook for his family and friends. He cherished his family more than anything and would give them,or actually anyone he came into contact with, the shirt off his back - literally! Hemeant the world to themand isgreatly missed but hetaught them all what it truly means to love unconditionally. Heencouraged themwith his big bear hugs and his upliftingmessages.

Survivors include his bride and best friend, Penny of Fall Creek; daughters, Paulette (Mark) Hedrington, Shelley (Ken) Taylor, all of Chippewa Falls, Wendy (Charlie) Jordan of Georgetown, KY; brothers, Tom (Susan) Scheidler of Clovis, NM, Richard (Becky) Scheidler of Jim Falls; grandchildren, Curtis, Nick, Josh, Taylor and Deanna; mother-in-law, Dorothy Geissler of Jim Falls; many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his father-in-law, Norbert Geissler.

A celebration of David's life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 25 at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, Chippewa Falls with Pastor Jim Woldhuis officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

AFTERSERVICE

A celebration of the life of David R. Scheidler, 67, of Fall Creek was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 25 at Chippewa Valley Bible Church, Chippewa Falls with Pastor Jim Woldhuis officiating. Personal reflections were shared by daughter, Shelley Taylor and granddaughter Taylor Hedrington.
