Dayton C. Liddell, 89, of 115 Marrs St., Chippewa Falls, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.
He was born August 21, 1922 in the town of Anson, Chippewa County to Evelyn May (Kenyon) and Albert Liddell. He was raised in the town of Anson and attended Pine Grove School.
Dayton was employed at Eau Claire Ice Company, Jackson Portable Saw Mill in Mondovi, Anderson Cadillac in Chippewa Falls and Chippewa Brass Foundry for many years, until his retirement in 1999.
Dayton enjoyed hunting, watching sports and snowmobiling. He especially loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include: a sister, Alberta Bellmore; a brother, Gerald (Janet) Liddell, all of Chippewa Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; four brothers, Maurice, Lawrence, Chalis and Theodore Liddel; sisters-in-law, Lorraine and Lucille Liddell; a brother-in-law, Ted Bellmore; and a great-niece, Mallorie Angel Liddell.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Friday, January 13 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Ellie Michaud of Christ Episcopal Church, officiating. Spring interment will be in Goetz Cemetery, town of Goetz.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:30 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral chapel.
