Deborah Ojibway

Deborah L. "Deb" Ojibway passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire with her family by her side.

She was born June 8, 1955 in Mondovi to Joanne (Olson) and Walter "Bud" Brion. Deb graduated from Eleva-Strum High School in 1973 and then attended Chippewa Valley Technical College where she received a degree in accounting. She worked at The Famers Union Coop in Strum and later was the office manager at The River Country Coop in Chippewa Falls, until the time of her illness in 1993.

Deb married Neal Svoma in 1979 and they had a daughter, Leslie Joan Svoma. Deb married Jeff Ojibway in 1994. She was a loving mother to Jeff's two sons, Chad and Michael. In 1993, she was diagnosed with cancer and defyed all odds to live a fulfilling life for another seventeen years with her loving husband, devoted mother and her family by her side.
