Della Mae (Bartelt) Coulter, 82, of Stanley, formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at The Home Place in Stanley.

She was born February 10, 1931 in Grand Island, NE to Mable (Falldorf) and Walter Bartelt. She graduated from Grand Island High School.

Della married George Coulter in Grand Island. They moved to the Tulsa, OK area where George worked as a service station mechanic and truck driver. They then lived in many areas of North Dakota, spending many years in Stewartville, MN where Della and George had various businesses, Della Trucking, Coulter Trucking and Trans World Marbel.

Della and George later divorced and she moved to Chippewa Falls. Della made many friends at Chippewa Falls Middle School, where she was a grandparent teachers assistant to challenged children.

She is a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls; and for the last several years, has been a resident at Our Home Care Center in Stanley.

Survivors include two daughters, Lauralee (Joseph) Hills of Chippewa Falls, Dixie Jo Hoglund of Suwanee, Georgia; a sister, Lou Etta Teeter of Oak Harbor, WA; five grandchildren, Eric Joseph Hills of Chippewa Falls, Ian, Joshua, Derek and Dane Hoglund all of Atlanta, Georgia; several great-grandchildren; special friend, Chang Quang of Worchester, MA, (who Dellas family sponsored into the U.S. through her church in Stewartville, MN); and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George on January 3, 2003 and a grandson, Kenneth Boyd Hills.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 25 at Christ Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls with Pastor Mark Homp officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be on hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
