Delores M. Introwitz, 97, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, February 28, 2014 surrounded by her family and caregivers at her son's home.
She was born April 9, 1916 in the town of Edson to Linda and Sylvester Yeager. She grew up in the Stanley-Boyd area and graduated from Stanley High School. She later earned her teaching degree.
Delores worked at the Northern Center from 1936, until retiring as the supervisor of the infirmary in 1971. She and her husband Frenchy Introwitz, owned and operated two roller rinks, Skateland and Rollerena.
Delores enjoyed traveling, fishing, working in her garden, cooking and baking. She also loved to watch the Cubs baseball games and enjoyed many fun trips to the casino. She mostly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Duane Introwitz of Chippewa Falls; sister, Phyllis Shilts of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Duane II (Christine) of Rockton, IL, Terri Introwitz of Eau Claire, Wendy (Mike) Pareene of Minneapolis; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: Frenchy Introwitz; father, Sylvester Yeager; mother, Linda Tollefson; step-father, William Tollefson; brothers, Donald Tollefson and Claude Tollefson; sister, Marilynn Anibas; and daughter-in-law, Mimi Introwitz.
The family also wishes to mention the many wonderful caregivers who were so devoted to Delores.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 4 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls with Fr. Victor Inbaraj officiating. Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
AFTERSERVICE
A funeral service for Delores M. Introwitz, 97, of Chippewa Falls was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 4 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls. Fr. Victor Inbaraj was celebrant at the funeral mass. Readings were given by granddaughter, Terri Introwitz and music was provided by Judy Brist. Interment was in Hope Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Casket bearers were grandson, Duane Introwitz II; great-grandsons, Sam and David Introwitz.
