Denise J. Dulian

On March 4, 2025, the world lost a little bit of its magic when Denise J. Dulian took her final journey after a lifelong battle with heart issues and heart failure. Though her heart may have struggled, it never stopped loving fiercely. Denise began her life on September 22, 1958, in Chippewa Falls, WI to Patricia (Dietrich) and Donavan LeMay. She grew up in Cadott, WI and throughout her life was employed at ITT Life Insurance, Cray/SGI/Celestica, Spectrum Industry, Great Lakes Higher Education, and Willie’s Military Surplus.

As a little girl, she dreamed of marrying Walt Disney and living in a castle. While that fairy tale didn’t come true, she found something even better: her beloved husband, William Dulian. They were married on September 6, 1980, and spent over 50 years together building a life filled with love, laughter, and enough Disney memorabilia to open a small museum. Together they had two daughters, Nicole (Carl) Rasmussen, Satellite Beach, FL and Anna Dulian, Palm Shore, FL and three grandchildren, Carl, Sophia, and Eleanore.

As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Denise never hesitated to open her heart and home to those she loved. She became a second mother to many of her daughter’s friends; always checking in, offering advice, and making sure no one left her without feeling a little more loved.

Denise was always up for a new adventure, whether it was traveling somewhere she’d never been, trying a new hobby, or stepping forward to participate in clinical trials and surgeries in the hopes of helping others. She faced every challenge with strength and a sense of humor that made even the hardest moments feel lighter.

Nothing in this world brought her more joy than her grandkids—her greatest treasures, her biggest fans, and the only people she ever let get away with making a mess in her house. Whether they were having a movie night, going on an adventure, or baking cookies together, she made every moment feel magical. Her kitchen wasn’t just a place for baking—it was a place for laughter, love, and the kind of memories that last a lifetime.

Denise is preceded in death by her parents, Donavan Lemay and Patricia (Dietrich) Lemay; her sisters, Doreen LeMay Roshell, Diane LeMay; niece, Stephanie Lewis; nephew, Cory Lewis; mother-in-law, Irene (Jacobson) Dulian; father-in-law, Frank Dulian; and other in-law's, Tim Crank, Ruth (Dietrich) Miller, and Agnes McNeill.

She is survived by her beloved husband, William Dulian; her daughters, Nicole (Carl) Rasmussen of Satellite Beach, FL and Anna Dulian of Palm Shore, FL; her three grandchildren, Carl, Sophia, and Eleanore; brothers, Daryl “Butch” (Meri) LeMay, David LeMay, Dean (Sherrie) LeMay, Daniel John (Sherri) LeMay; sisters, Deborah (Doug) Ellis, Dona Crank, and Dorthy Hart; brother-in-law, James (Wendy) Dulian, Donald Dulian, Frank (Jayne) Dulian; sister-in-law, Shirley (Tom) Mlsna; her special nephew Jeremy (Laurie Sahm) Dulian, and Melissa (Jake) Niemec; along with several wonderful nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Services for Denise will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls, WI. Visitation will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, with a service to follow at 6:00 PM. Father Felix will be officiating.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated medical professionals who cared for Denise throughout the years. Their unwavering commitment, compassion, and expertise not only extended her time with us but also ensured that she lived life to the fullest despite her health challenges.

A special thank you to the incredible phlebotomy staff at Mayo Clinic in Chippewa Falls, who always brought a smile to her face, even on the toughest days. Their kindness and warmth made every visit a little easier and a lot brighter. We are also forever grateful to her dedicated doctors at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire, WI, and Rochester, MN, whose guidance, care, and expertise gave us more time, more laughter, and more precious memories with Denise.

We want to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Romulo Sanchez MD. He's the reason Denise was able to have her two daughters and enjoy the wonderful life she lived. We're eternally thankful for everything he did.

In her honor, hug your loved ones a little tighter, say “yes” to a new experience, and, for the love of all things magical, go to Disney.
