Dolores J. Frederick Larson

Dolores J. “Dode” Frederick Larson, 97, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, with family by her side at Chippewa Manor. 

She was born December 26, 1926, in Barron County to Harold and Helen (Brainard) Siddons. She was the oldest of ten siblings.

For 28 years she owned and operated Dolores’ Beauty Shop in the Town of Lafayette. She loved relaxing at her property on the lake in Lake Holcombe and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her true passion was knitting. As a teenager she learned to knit, and continued to make gifts for friends and family over the years. 

Dolores is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Niel) DeFiore of Colorado, Judy (Chuck) Brookshaw of Webster, WI, and Jill (Bill) Durch of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Shari (Andy) Solie, Danielle (Aaron) DeFiore-Kluding, Matt (Carrin) Brookshaw, and Emily (Justin) Brookshaw-Green; great-grandchildren, Anella and Payson Kluding, Kenna, Avery, and Loryn Brookshaw, and Hattie and Henrik Green; step-children, Brad (Jenny) Massengill, Terri Larson and Lorri (Mark) Lorentz; and very special family friend, David Dettloff. She is also survived by her siblings, Mary Lou Rogge, Connie Kinderman, Carolyn Meinen, Beverly (Albert) Rogge, Larry (Jackie) Siddons, and Tom Siddons; sisters-in-laws, Edna Frederick, Donna Papenfuss, and Loris Siddons; brother-in-law, Earl McIlquham; and many other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Clifford Frederick and Felix Larson; siblings, Lois McIlquham, Jack Siddons, and Lloyd Siddons; and stepdaughter, Sherri Hoffman.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 12 at Central Lutheran Church, 28 E Columbia St., Chippewa Falls with Chuck Brookshaw officiating. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:30 a.m.

Interment will be at Prairie View Cemetery in the village of Lake Hallie.
