Dolores E. "Roby" Jasper, 86, of 17038 59th Ave., Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Friday, November 30, 2012 at Wissota Health Transitions while under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice.

She was born December 21, 1925 in Chisholm, MN to Estelle (Harnois) and Emil Roberts. She grew up in Washburn, WI and graduated from Washburn High School in 1943.

On May 29, 1948, Roby married David James "Jim" Jasper at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. They resided in Chippewa Falls where they owned and operated Jasper Drug Store. Roby was an accomplished artist and exhibited her oil paintings in many art shows. She loved crossword puzzles and reading. After retirement, Roby and Jim spent their winters in Yuma, AZ and summers at their home on Lake Wissota, where they both loved to garden and entertain. They also loved spending time at their cabin in Hayward and making many trips across the states in their motor home.

Survivors include a daughter, Lynn L. Paugh (Michael Duffy) of Orlando, FL; three sons, David A. Jasper of Portal, AZ, Patrick E. (Sherry) Jasper and Michael H. Jasper, all of Chippewa Falls; four grandchildren, Joelyn C. Paugh of West Sacramento, CA, Jordan J. Jasper of River Falls, Jared J. Jasper of Menomonie and Joseph J. Jasper of Chippewa Falls; sisters-in-law, Gene Henry, Yvonne Roberts, Lois Roberts, Rita Roberts and Alice Ehmen; and nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a very special nephew, Richard (Jan) Koepke of Chippewa Falls; and life-long friends, Walt and Dory Karker of Eau Claire.

Dolores "Roby" Jasper was the last surviving child of the Roberts family of 11 children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David "Jim"; sisters, Agnes Meyers and Bernice Kelly; brothers, Clovis, David, Roy, Donald, Burton, Leonard, Norman and Bernard Roberts.

The family would like to express gratitude to the staff at Wissota Transitions and St. Joseph's Hospice and Jody Hagedorn for their care and support.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 8 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with the Rev. Julianne Lepp, of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Eau Claire, officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.

In honor of Roby's love and support of art, memorials may be designated to the Heyde Center for the Arts, 3 S. High St., Chippewa Falls, WI 54729.

AFTERSERVICE:

A memorial service for Dolores E. "Roby" Jasper, 86, of 17038 59th Ave., Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 8 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Julianne Lepp, of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Eau Claire, officiatedand several family members and friends shared memories and personal reflections.

Spring interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
