Dolores H. Larson, 88, of Afton, MN, formerly of Chippewa Falls, died Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Afton Care Center while under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

She was born July 29, 1925 in Chippewa Falls to Hilda (Christopherson) and Robert Sweeney. She graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1943.

On May 21, 1945, Dolores married Lyle Thomas Larson. They resided in Chippewa Falls where Dolores raised their son and made their home. After Lyles retirement, the couple enjoyed many years together in Fountain Hills, AZ. Dolores enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She will be dearly missed by her son, Thomas Lyle Larson of Stillwater, MN; a sister, Marjorie St. Aubin of Chippewa Falls; a brother, Kenneth (Monica) Sweeney of Cornell; and her granddaughter, Katelyn Ann Larson of Stillwater.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lyle on August 27, 2001; and a nephew, Jim Madson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m, Saturday, January 11 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls with Rev. Aaron Sturgis of Central Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.

AFTERSERVICE

A funeral service for Dolores H. Larson, 88, of Afton, MN was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 11 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Aaron Sturgis of Central Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls officiated and music was provided by organist, Judy Brist and soloist was Dolores granddaughter, Katelyn Larson. Interment followed at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls
