Donald Ruf

Donald L. Ruf, 72, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord on Monday, Sept. 6, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls. He had been a resident at Cornell Area Care Center for the past two years.

Don was born April 17, 1938 in Bloomer to Helen (Omeig) and Ludwig Ruf. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in April, 1962.

Don was a very hard worker. He was employed by Pope & Talbot Paper Mill in Eau Claire for 11 years, before owning and operating Ruf's Disposal until his retirement.

He had a great passion for his horses, tractors and hobby farm. Don loved hooking up his team of work horses to the wagon and participaing in several Pure Water Day Parades. He also loved to hunt, fish and go camping.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
