Donna P. Iverson

Donna P. Iverson, 91, of Chippewa Falls, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, at Dove Healthcare – Bloomer. 

She was born October 19, 1932, in Bloomer to Roy and Lelah (Beresford) Veum. She graduated from Bloomer High School in 1950. Following high school she attended tech school in Eau Claire and then moved to St. Paul, MN, where she worked at First Federal Bank.

On June 13, 1953, she married Theodore “Ted” Iverson at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. Following Ted’s honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy in 1955, they lived in St. Paul, MN for a brief period before moving back to Chippewa Falls.

Donna enjoyed reading, cooking, flowers, and babysitting children of family friends. She spent time volunteering at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church with the Ladies Aid and Altar Guild. She loved her grandkids and enjoyed spending time with her extended family.  Donna and Ted loved to travel together and took many camping trips, some of her favorite places were Montana and Texas.

Donna is survived by her children, Debra (Gary) Kadlecek of Phillips, WI, Patricia Iverson of Appleton, WI, Nancy Iverson of Richfield, MN, and Todd (Sheila) Iverson of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Jessica (Jesse) Bohman, Christine (Zach) Hall, Taylor Iverson, and Mitchell Iverson; great-grandchildren, Ryker and Lydia Hall; sister, Alice Bauer; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted in 2023; and siblings, Anna Mae (Ray) Corrick, Mona (Herb) Marquardt, Lelah Veum, Robert Veum, James (Pauline) Veum, and Wallace (Esther) Veum.

 Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, April 19 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday April 19 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel with Pastor Karen Behling officiating.   Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dove Healthcare – Bloomer for the wonderful care over the last few weeks. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the Glenwood City History Center or Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.
