Donna Jean Monpas, age 86, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully at her home under the care of St. Joseph's Hospice, on Wednesday, October 7, 2015.

Donna was born on June 1, 1929, to Joseph and Lena (Schmid) Miller in Eau Claire County, WI. She graduated from Chippewa High School with the class of 1948. She was employed at Falls Dairy Company in Jim Falls where she was a cashier and receptionist, greeting the many business associates. On September 14, 1954, she married Kenneth Monpas at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jim Falls, WI. Donna enjoyed music, singing and dancing, also accompanying her brother Ted, with his accordion, while playing the piano, but her true passion and priority was caring for her children.

Donna is survived by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth; children, Teri (Warren) Kerola, Mary Monpas, Joan (Orlando) Perez, Kathy (Brad Christenson) Sippy, Anita (Randy) Rubenzer, Deanna (Robert) Bethea, Angie (Kevin) Rogge, Patti (Dale) Zwiefelhofer, Chris (Fianc, Ed Enger) Zerbian, Kenny (Kristine) Monpas, Robert Monpas, and Jackie (Joel Woodruff) Monpas; grandchildren, Alena, Ashley, Lucas, Kisha, Brandon, Christopher, Naomi, Karlee, Nick, Alexa, Chasten, Ciera, Jesse, Austin, Morgan, Adreana, Kenton, Gage, and Paige; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Zurbuchen; and brother-in-law, Dennis Reiter; along with many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Frank (Margaret) Miller, Leo Miller, Ted (Wanda) Miller, Ann (Don) Lawler, Esther Kulhman, Irene Reiter, and Louise (Milton) Hartman; and brother-in-law, Irvin Zurbuchen.

A visitation will be from 2 to 5 PM, on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, 44 E. Columbia Street, Chippewa Falls, with a prayer vigil beginning at 4:30 p.m. The funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, October 12, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 412 S. Main Street, Chippewa Falls. Fr. Justin Kizewski will be officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Prairie View Cemetery, Village of Lake Hallie, Chippewa Falls, WI.

The family would like to thank Donna's caregivers, Kay Smiskey & Cara Lee, Cindy & Lisa, and the entire staff at St. Joseph's Hospice, for all their heartfelt care.
