Donny Hager

Donny L. Hager, 65, of 5656 169th St., Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette, died Saturday evening, August 20, 2011 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

He was born May 18, 1946 in Chippewa Falls to Gertrude (Windsor) and Louis Hager. He was raised in Chippewa Falls where he attended Chestnut Grade School and graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Air Force. After being honorably discharged, he then attended the Eau Claire School of Cosmetology and owned and operated Hair Dynasty in Eau Claire, until his retirement.

Survivors include: his partner of 35 years, John Loy; three sisters, Loretta Hager Swan, Irma Hager Lotts, Yvonne (Duane "Dewey") Dachel all of Chippewa Falls; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; two sisters, Viola "Tootie" Revoir, Evelyn Joyce and three brothers, Darrell, Chester and LaVerne Hager.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 25 at Zion United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls with Rev. Ann Scott officiating. Interment will be in Keystone Cemetery, town of Cleveland. Military honors will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

A funeral service for Donny L. Hager, 65, Chippewa Falls, town of Lafayette was held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Zion United Methodist Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Ann Scott officiated and music was provided by organist, Jackie Gibbs and soloist, Doug Parke. Personal reflections were given by niece, Rhonda Galindo and nephew, Dale Lotts.

Interment was in Keystone Cemetery, town of Cleveland, Chippewa County. Military honors were conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council. Casket bearers were: Bill Goettl, Mike Wilson, Bud Westrum, Dewey Dachel, Jim Loy and Tom Olson.
