Doris Herrick

She was born July 29, 1925 in Boaz, Wisconsin to Neva Mae Earl and Ole Keith Starkey.

Doris married Burgess Miles Herrick on July 29, 1946. They resided in Chippewa Falls where she made their home and raised their three children. Burgess preceded her in death on June 4, 1977.

Doris enjoyed reading and gardening. One of her favorite places to travel to was Las Vegas. She also loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra (John) Piech of Chippewa Falls; two sons, Thomas (Jean) Herrick of Chippewa Falls, Richard (Kim) Herrick of Cadott; 7 grandchildren, Troy Herrick of Eau Claire, Shane (Trina) Herrick, Daniel (Sam) Herrick, all of Chippewa Falls, Sheena (Adam) Hitz of Cadott, Amy (Randy) Lee of Chippewa Falls, Jay (Gwen) Herrick of Whitehall, Jason (Sara) Piech of Eau Claire; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; a sister, Lorraine Simonson; and a brother, Dale Starkey.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2011 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery in Jump River. Luncheon to follow at Jump River Community Hall.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Doris' memory may be made to the Chippewa County Food Pantry.
