Doris Wiltrout

Doris L. Wiltrout, 89, of the Chippewa Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, Chippewa Falls, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

Doris was born July 16, 1928 in Whitehall, Wisconsin to Rose (Vick) and Casper Anderson. She graduated from the High School in Blair, Wisconsin and then attended the Eau Claire Teacher’s College where she met her husband David. Doris and David were married May 30, 1948. They moved to Chippewa Falls in the early 50's where they remained. Doris was active in the community in many ways but would like to be remembered most for her faith in the Lord Jesus. Even through her last years when she struggled with Parkinson's disease, by her Lord's grace she continued to grow in His character and inspire everyone she saw.

She is survived by two sons, John (Nora Mildred), Robert (Joan), all of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew (Julie), Olivia, Jonathan (Janet), Timothy (Hannah), Melissa and Joel (Savannah), step-grandchildren, Regi Akan (John) and Mario Calderon; and many great-grandchildren as well as a few great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Ada Anderson of Norfolk, VA., and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David on April 12, 2008; her brother Robert Anderson, and her sister Jean Relyea (Boyd).

An inspirational service in her memory will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 17 at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls. Interment will be held at 9 a.m., Monday, September 18 at Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral chapel.
